Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO GANGTOK
On arrival to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station, will come along with you, for Gangtok, 126kms, and 4 hrs drive. Drive to Gangtok passes through a lush green vegetation adjacent to it river Teesta flows in a vibrant current. Check in to your hotel and can take rest.
Day 2: GANGTOK – EXCURSION TO TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR (Optional Tour of Nathula Pass)
After Breakfast Day Excursion To The Oval Shaped Tsomgo Lake (40 Kms From Gangtok Departure In The Morning) - Situated At A Height Of 3,780 Mts. With An Average Depth Of 50 Ft And Home To The Brahminy Duck And Several Migratory Birds On The Way Stop At Kyongnosla .The Cool Water Of The Lake Is Perfectly Attuned With The Scenic Beauty Around. Travel To Baba Mandir Another 17 Kms Beyond Tsongo Lake Return To Gangtok.
Day 3: GANGTOK to LACHEN TRANSFER TO LACHEN
After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachen (9,800 ft.). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall, and arrive Lachen by evening.
Day 4: LACHEN TO LACHUNG EXCURSION TO CHOPTA VALLEY – GURUDONGMAR LAKE & TRANSFER TO LACHUNG
Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,200 ft.) & Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft.). Back to hotel & after lunch transfer to Lachung (8,800 ft). Arrive Lachung by evening.
Day 5: LACHUNG to GANGTOK YUMTHANG VALLEY EXCURSION & TRANSFER TO GANGTOK
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet - On the way you may visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn - During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty - Return to resort at Lachung for Lunch - After lunch visit Lachung Monastery, Cottage Industry and Waterfalls After The Yumthang Tour, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To Gangtok
Day 6: GANGTOK to PHUNSTLING GANGTOK CITY TOUR & TRANSFER TO PHUNSTLING
Morning Breakfast - After Breakfast Drive For The City Tour Of Gangtok – Sightseeing Will Be For Half Day Hence The Drive Will Be Easy And Comfortable – It Is Not Possible To Cover All The Spot In Single Day Hence We Make The Program With Points Covering Minimum Distance Traveled - Visit To Directorate Of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute Of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, Garden Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View Point, Banjhakri Falls, One Of The Finest Falls Close To Gangtok, After the Gangtok city tour, you will be smoothly transferred to phunstling. Our Driver will help you to obtain the Bhutan Permit at the border which is free of charge .
Day 7: PHUNSTLING to THIMPU TRANSFER TO THIMPU
After Breakfast & Permit Formality, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To The Thimpu, Capital City of Bhutan.
Day 8: THIMPU THIMPU CITY TOUR
After Breakfast Thimphu sightseeing includes - visit to National Library, the priceless collection of Buddhist manuscripts and few English version books; Folk and Heritage Museum, which displays day to day livelihood of typical Bhutanese farmers in medieval period and their accessories; Late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for the world peace and Traditional Handmade Paper Factory; Painting School, which preserves our traditional paintings, sculpturing and wood curving; Majestic Tashichhodzong, which houses office for the king and the ministers and National Handicraft Emporium, the best place to look for souvenir from Bhutan. Day 9: THIMPU to PARO PUNAKHA CITY TOUR & TRANSFER TO PARO
Morning After Breakfast , visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library and the Traditional Institute of Medicine. Drive to the Zilukha nunnery to meet the nuns and interact with them. Lunch in the town and drive to Paro through Dochula pass (3200 mts) If the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and continue hike to the temple of Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. Visit Punakha Dzong (fortress) which houses the most elaborated temple in the country & Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use.. After the Punakha tour, you will be smoothly transferred to Paro.
Day 10: PARO TO JAIGAON PARO CITY TOUR & TRANSFER TO PHUNSTLING
Morning After Breakfast Morning drive to the base for the hike (2 hrs uphill) to Tiger's Nest, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley. Most of the day will go on the hike. Taktshang - Tiger's Nest: Taktshang or 'Tiger's Nest' as it is often referred to for Taktshang Pelphung monastery, is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. It is located on the face of a 900m sheer cliff. An impressive and un-miss able site, but accessible only by walk or to ride mules/pony. Taktshang was rebuilt by population of Tsento village. Again in April of 1998, a major fire destroyed the main structure of the building and its contents (some believe it to be arson). Reconstruction began in 2000 and was completed and consecrated after extensive efforts and financial support of Governments as well as donors. After The Paro City Tour, You Will Be Smoothly Transferred To Phunstling Hotel .
Day 11: DEPARTURE: PHUNSTLING TO BAGDOGRA TRANSFER TO AIRPORT /STATION
After Breakfast, You will be transferred to the NJP Station / Bagdogra Airport for your return journey to back home with most wonderful memories of lifetime.
